So What's Good And What's Not?

It's not always that simple. But at Nourished Performance, we do have a core set of beliefs when it comes to the basics of your diet.

We recommend that men and women of all backgrounds take on a foundation of the following foods:

  • Grass-fed meats
  • Free range poultry
  • Wild caught seafood
  • Natural fats such as butter, ghee, olive oil, coconut oil, avocado/avocado oil, pastured animal fats, nuts and seeds
  • Organic vegetables
  • Organic fruit limited to 1-2 serves per day

And while we all enjoy the occasional indulgence, we recommend that you avoid: 

  • Refined carbohydrates such as white bread, pasta, soda, chips, cookies, candy etc....
  • Highly refined and inflammatory industrial seed oils: soybean, canola, safflower, cottonseed, vegetable oil, corn oil, grapeseed oil, sunflower oil and other plant-based oils (exception olive and avocado oil)
  • Artificial sweeteners such as: sucralose (splenda), acesulfame potassium, saccarin, aspartame, etc...
